Lose your sense of time, and experience a world of essential beauty. You will pass near the Mountains of Ketumbainei and Gilai following the direction of Lake Natron. You will see the OlDonyoLengai rising from the Maasai Steppe, and this will be your orientation point for the last 3 days of the safari. The animals, the colourfulMaasai and the dreaming landscapes, make of this safari not a common journey but a fantastic 14 days holiday experience.
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Meet and greet at Kilimanjaro International Airport, drive to the camp for dinner and stay overnight in full board basis.
Day 2-3-4-5-6 and 7: Camel safaris
In the early morning we take a breakfast. After a delicious breakfast, the seven days of camel safari begins. A group of Maasai will take you through the Maasai Steppe. You can choose to ride the camels, or if you prefer to walk is ok. Expect to encounter different kinds of animals such as antelope, zebra, giraffe, ostrich …. and many birds. During these days you will appreciate the unique and incredible savannah sunset, having a good glass of wine with a delicious meal that a trained cook will prepare for you. The accommodation is in comfortable small tents where camping toilets and shower are available.
Day 8: Fly to Zanzibar
The safari finishes in the late morning, when you will reach OlDonyoLengai, near lakeNatron. From there depending on your flight time, we drive you to Arusha and then to Airport to catch your flight to the spice island of Zanzibar for wonderful beach leisure. Meet and greet, road transfer to Hideaway Resort which is located in Zanzibar North coast. Check in and relax. Dinner and stay overnight in HB basis.
Day 9 – 11: Beach Leisure
You have 3 days to relax on the beach following a 7 days long adventure camel safari in Tanzania Northern circuit. Its now your time to relax on the beach and feel in deep on what the island has to offer for you.Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 12: Safari Blue
After breakfast we drive to Fumba beach for safari blue tour. This is a full day trip on locally constructed sailing dhows, fitted with outboard motors, marine VHF radios, life jackets and other security requirements. The dhow anchors in a safe and shallow area to allow for snorkelling. High quality snorkellingmaterial are provided, and a large range of sizes is available. Lunch is served on a sand bank or on one of the many uninhabited island in the region. A traditional dish of barbecued fish, rice, lentils and fish curry is serves. Chilled fruit juice, mineral water, and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the tour. After lunch, clients can sail on an outrigger canoe carved out of a single mango tree, snorkel and swim or just relax. Return to Fumba is by sail, wind permitting, and clients arrive back at their hotel at about 1730 hrs. Dinner and stay overnight at Mazson Hotel in BB basis.
Day 13: City and Spice tour
Explore the island and its hidden treasures at a relaxed pace. Travel deep into the interior to see the fragrant spice plantations. Discover how pods, bark, buds and berries are harvested and dried. The intoxicating aromas of fresh cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg will delight the senses and stimulate appetites, so be sure to sample the sweet tropical fruits, fresh seafood and zesty curries Zanzibar is famous for. After the spice tour we go ahead to Zanzibar Stone Town for the city tour. The architecture here has been shaped by generations of explorers and spice traders and provides many interesting photography opportunities. Dinner and stay overnight in BB basis.
Day 14: Fly to Dar essalaam
After breakfast we will pick you up to Zanzibar International Airport to catch your flight back home. End of tour
